Steve Buist is an investigative reporter and feature writer at The Hamilton Spectator. He has won three National Newspaper Awards and been a finalist five times. He’s been named the Canadian Association of Journalists’ Investigative Journalist of the Year three times, Ontario’s Journalist of the Year five times and the 2014 winner of one of the world’s most prestigious awards for cancer journalism. Neil Johnston is a faculty member in McMaster University’s Department of Medicine. He is associated with the Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health, St. Joseph’s Healthcare. Johnston has had a longstanding research interest in asthma and pulmonary disorders, as well as the social determinants of health.
